1st day reporting

Well today began with a bright and early start with the sun shining through the windscreen at 6.30am on the way to pick up 007 Pest Control's new apprentice. He has had no experience of the job but paid to go on the course himself so we shall see how he progresses over the next few weeks.
Our first job today was in the Grays area. We had a call from a lady that was experiencing problems with bees in her chimney. When we arrived, we set out to smoke the bees out of the chimney. As expected quite a few flew out from the top so hopefully we have solved that.
Then it was up to London for the day. Pigeons in north London were accessing some previously installed netting by another company and we had the job of repairing. Not a big job just a few small holes that needed patching. Then came a call for bedbugs in a bedsit, again in north London. This was the new boys first experience of these little critters so we got him suited and masked up and just told him to observe how the job was being carried out. After about an hour and a half we had completed the job.
Back to sunny Essex for the afternoon were we had some in-house training take place just to jog our newcomers memory.
All in all, a good day. The apprentice seems quite confident and knowledgeable. Lets see what tomorrow brings.
